Retrofit, a leading provider of weight management solutions, today announced it has expanded its sales team with two strategic hires. Cindy Dalmau has joined Retrofit as director of partner sales while Monique Salas has joined as director of employer sales for the Western region.

“This announcement marks an ongoing series of high-talent hires and tremendous growth for Retrofit,” said Mary Pigatti, Retrofit CEO. “These key recruits will contribute to the positive momentum the organization has experienced in the employer and partner weight-loss space.”

Dalmau, who is based in La Jolla, Calif, comes to Retrofit from MD Revolution, a digital health provider, where she served as director of corporate health. Prior to that, Dalmau was a national sales manager for Viverae Health where she was responsible for the organization’s population health management offerings. Dalmau also held strategic sales roles at Willis, American Specialty Health and Health Net.

Dalmau brings nearly 15 years of health care and population health sales consultant and leadership experience to the organization. She has demonstrated success in selling software and services into employer and payer markets, and will use this experience to further expand Retrofit’s presence in the health plan and partner arenas.

Salas, who is based in Sunnyvale, Calif, comes to Retrofit from YouEye, a leader in market research and qualitative analytics technology, where she served as sales director. Prior to that, she served as a territory manager for Salix Pharmaceuticals and InVentiv Health’s account manager to Sutter Health.

Salas brings a proven track record as a strategic sales professional, a deep knowledge of the health-care industry and a specialty in understanding health-care market trends, regulations, challenges and business issues. She will use this experience to make further inroads into the workplace weight-management space for large self-insured employers.

“Retrofit is thrilled to add these proven leaders and respected professionals in the health-improvement arena to our sales team,” said Matthew Schoenthaler, vice president of sales. “Retrofit’s ability to attract some of the country’s best and brightest is testament to the sustainable outcomes that we deliver to our customers.”

Retrofit uses a high-tech, high-touch approach to encourage healthy behaviors and achieve lasting weight loss results. Clients are given the personalized attention of a live coach, a smart dashboard for tracking and notifications, expert-led interactive classes, social support from an online community and a variety of self-monitoring technologies to achieve sustainable weight loss.
